About the Role
Do you want to help protect one of Sweden's most important security objects? As a security guard at Ringhals, you will be part of a team that works for safety and security in a critical societal operation.
About Us
The Facility Protection and Surveillance unit works to protect the facility from unauthorized intrusion, sabotage, or other influences that could lead to a radiological accident or illegal handling of nuclear material or nuclear waste. The unit has a large operational activity and collaborates closely with the entire organization and external authorities. The unit's mission is to maintain physical protection and create security. The unit provides competence and resources for all of Ringhals in the area of facility protection and surveillance. The Operational Surveillance group leads and performs surveillance assignments at Ringhals.
The unit is undergoing a significant development journey, which means exciting changes ahead. We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to our continued development!
About the Job
Your day-to-day work varies from day to day. The main task is to actively prevent and manage situations that may arise. Much problem-solving occurs, both independently and together with your shift team. The role requires you to be confident in your authority, have good social skills, and communicate clearly. You need to be able to set boundaries, act quickly when necessary, and always behave professionally – both towards colleagues, personnel at the security object, and individuals near the security object. The work is shift-based, which means varying working hours and a dynamic work setup. The employment begins with a 6-month probationary period.
Requirements Specification
About You
As a security guard, you are a key person in maintaining safety and security in a critical environment. You act both as a role model and as part of a strong team where collaboration and responsibility are central. Since you carry a weapon in service, you are well aware of what that entails and have a high level of personal maturity.
Being a security guard also requires physical ability - you are expected to be able to run after and hold unauthorized or suspicious individuals.
In the event of a major incident/work, you will take on a leadership role.
To be considered for the position, you need to have a complete high school education. Experience as a security guard, police officer, military personnel, or in the security industry is advantageous, as is leadership experience. You have very good knowledge of both Swedish and English. A valid driver's license (B) is also a requirement.
